We are thrilled to announce that Jackie Black will be on display in the store starting November 9th as part of our Second Sunday Kailua Artwalk program. There will be an artist's reception on Sunday from 3-5pm. Hope to see you there!
More about the artist:
Jackie has worked as a Honolulu artist since 1968. Her achievements have been recognized through the years both for her watercolor painting as well as design with numerous awards for her commitment to excellence. Included are the premier Pele Awards of the American Advertising Federation of Hawaii, the Ilima Award of the IBCA/Hawaii & The National Summit Awards. Jackie has twice received the Bobbie Segler Award for luminosity in Hawaii Watercolor Society Exhibitions.
Jackie's formal education was from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. It was there that she first discovered her love for the spontaneity of watercolor. Jackie now enjoys painting full time from her studio overlooking Kaneohe Bay.
